We built it because most drivers only find out their car's insurance group buried inside an insurer quote — we think you should be able to check it in seconds, for free, before you even start comparing prices.

What we do

• Look up your vehicle's DVLA record from your registration plate
• Match it against our insurance-group dataset, sourced from public Thatcham/ABI information
• Show you an honest result — an exact group where we have one, a clearly labelled typical range where we don't
• Provide a transparent, documented cost estimator — never a fake quote

What we're not
