Registration plate lookups

When you use our checker, your registration is sent to our server, used to call the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry Service, and returned to your browser. We do not store, log or sell the registrations people search — each lookup is processed and discarded.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add privacy-friendly analytics in future, we'll update this page and, where required, ask for consent first.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have rights to access, correct or erase personal data we hold about you. Since we don't retain reg lookups or accounts, we hold very little personal data in the first place. For any request, see our contact page.

Third parties

We call the DVLA's official Vehicle Enquiry Service API to fetch vehicle data; DVLA processes that request under its own privacy terms as the data controller for vehicle records.
